Description

The Rehabilitation Clinical Liaison is a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or RN and is responsible for facilitating and securing additional admissions to the SLHS Rehabilitation Unit through the development of relationships with current and potential referral sources and ongoing marketing efforts within the region. This clinician is a licensed professional experienced in the Rehabilitation industry and maintains knowledge of unique CMS reimbursement requirements and commercial insurance regulations, insurance benefit and authorization processes, and processes used by case managers and discharge planners. The Rehabilitation Clinical Liaison demonstrates proficiency in assessing functional deficits and medical needs for patients referred for admission to the SLHS Rehabilitation Unit, works closely with the SLHS physiatrists to determine appropriateness of admission, and collaborates with e-Doc-One and other entity specific rehabilitation professionals on the admission process.","Requirements

Individual must have a rehab background and knowledge of CMS requirements for admission to an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Individual must have the ability to assess the appropriateness of a referral and expedite a pre-screen to facilitate the admission to the unit. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both the care integration team as well as the physiciansis required. Individual also must have the ability and interest in marketingSLHS rehabilitation units to external customers.

REQUIRED: LPN, Registered Nurse, License Occupational Therapist License, or Physical Therapist License
