JOB DESCRIPTIONINSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - SELLING ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE!
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
This position is for one of our valued partners.This Company is an organization that helps customers to streamline the design and development of products! They do this by selling Engineering and IT software that allows customers to do things such as: design products better, manage product data (such as product design files/CAD files), and manage business processes. Their software products improve a customer's ability to create products efficiently. Company solutions allow clients to get their products to market faster and to cut costs while doing so!
Company is looking to add an Inside Sales Representative to their team, to sell their Enterprise Software Solution. This enterprise software performs Product Lifecycle Management (known in the industry as PLM).
The Company's clients are in industries such as aerospace, automotive, life sciences, consumer products, industrial equipment, and consumer packaging.
ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS TYPE OF ROLE Let's explore:
Do you have experience in selling enterprise software Then yes, absolutely!
Do you need to have experience in Engineering and IT software No. We are more interested in your ability to understand enterprise software, and to articulate the value of the product.
Do you need to have experience selling enterprise software as opposed to desktop software Our preference is yes! However, if you have experience selling engineering/IT software solutions, we'd be interested in reviewing your profile. For exampleyou have a background in selling CAD software or Simulation software - lets talk!
WHAT WILL THIS POSITION DO
Purpose of this role is to begin a relationship with prospective clients. We want you to be able to call prospective clients and develop relationships - open the door so to speak - so that they become interested in learning more about the solution.
Generate customer leads - leads can come from places such as internet research, industry white papers, trade shows, marketing leads, website requests for info etc. It is important to be able to generate a list of potential clients to call. You must know how to generate a list of potential customers (despite having some leads come in from tradeshows and websites), or this position will not feel like a suitable role for you at all.
Once you have successfully come up with a good customer lead, you will transition the lead to an Outside Sales rep who will take it from there and develop the relationship further.
OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
Are you comfortable cold calling
Do you have the ability to talk to potential customers at a variety of levels (Managers, Directors, even CEOs/Presidents )
Do you have excellent written and oral presentation skills
Do you have a good understanding of technology Do you tend to pick up technical information quickly Can you convey it in a meaningful manner to others Can you articulate the value of a solution
Do we care where you are located No. We want you to be located in the United States and open to working with potential clients in any US Time Zone. So, depending where you live, you might have to adjust your working hours to hit clients in another time zone. That's it. We care more about you being able to develop good leads than where you do it from.
