Business Unit Overview
Valves & Controls manufactures valves, actuators, and controls solutions for some of the most challenging applications throughout the oil and gas, power, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage and building and construction industries. We partner with customers to help keep their operations running safely, minimize downtime and improve business efficiency.
This leader will be responsible for ensuring seamless service to Pentair Valves & Controls customers across North America. This leader will direct and coordinate all Inside Sales activities throughout North America at multiple locations.
Job Requirements & Skills
*Drive growth in bookings and revenues including profit in coordination with the regional sales team to positively impact the Americas overall revenue and profit
*Develop specific business plans and objectives tied to the strategic direction of Pentair Valves & Controls.
*Drive process excellence and the adoption of PIMS processes as appropriate throughout the Inside Sales organization.
Provides foresight and innovative ideas that create profitable results for the organization and take market share.
*Review and maintain department metrics to ensure accurate management reports.
*Maintain all contracts to ensure compliance. Maintain price lists including: new products introductions, price increases, price reductions and product deletions.
*Assist sales in identifying new business opportunities via identification of bid opportunities.
*Effectively resolve customer issues in a timely manner. Ensure communication of resolution is clear.
*Insure that all customer inquiries are handled within a reasonable time frame and meet or exceed the expectations of our customers
*Insure that contracts are handled in a professional manner and meet or exceed customer expectations.
*Create a process to get feedback from customers on a regular basis
*Work with multi-functional teams, including Operations, Marketing and other functions, to maximize productivity, inventory management, distribution, and logistics through appropriate management and key initiatives.
*Manage Customer Service through the entire sales cycle (quote to payment)
*Follow up on all opportunities (samples requests, quotations, and other leads) submitted to representatives to maximize qualifications and conversion to new orders
*Enforce contract policies and procedures to ensure no termination of contracts, fines and/or penalties.
*Respond to industry specific tenders (RFPs, RFQs, etc). Coordinate all necessary information to respond including but not limited to certificates of insurance, field quotations, safety questionnaires, terms and conditions.
*Assist Sales in drafting proposals in response to such bids and advise on matters related to inclusion/exclusion of Pentair Americas products for specific contracts.
