Job Description
LOCATION LOIS DRIVE DESIGN CENTER (MINNESOTA & TUDOR)
PURPOSE
Under general supervision, provides sales and customer service and actively develops knowledge of sales techniques and industry knowledge, specializing in Kitchen and Bath Design.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides customer service in-person or via telephone or email, including handling customer inquires; generates sales quotations requiring a working knowledge of all component products manufactured at the location and company pricing guidelines.
2. Uses customer calls as opportunities to provide information about the features and benefits of company products leading to developing and closing new accounts.Actively engages in researching, identifying and soliciting new customers for company products.
3. Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
4. Trouble-shoots order processing issues in order to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize sales opportunities.
5. May help train less experienced sales Reps.
6. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
7. Other duties may be assigned.
COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of company products, competitors products and company standards
- Knowledge of company product pricing, discount and estimating formulas and guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates strong detail orientation skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic sales techniques, concepts and the ability to influence and persuade
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program
- 20/20 design program experience preferred.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and one (1) year of experience in sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be able to work Saturdays and have current drivers license.
