Job Description
Inside Sales Representative with a marketing background a plus!
Our client which is a leading manufacturer of fasteners, screws, nuts, studs, wire rods and many other cold formed products. With a product range of 12,000 parts addresses key markets worldwide such as automotive, agricultural and earth moving machines, industrial and civil constructions.
We currently have an excellent career opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative at our Aurora facility.
This professional, detail-oriented self-starter will function as the sales and customer service point of contact for the company ensuring customer satisfaction and will have the following responsibilities:
•Generate new and repeat sales by providing quotes as well as product and technical information in a timely manner;
•Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions;
•Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
•Accurately process customer transactions such as quotes, orders or returns
•Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
•Obtain accurate information from the parent company relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery
•Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
•Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
•Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
•Coordinate shipments and other key logistic activities with warehouse personnel
•Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
•Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
•Setup and maintain customer files
•Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
•Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the distribution team
•Communicate unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products
•Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts
•Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software
•Follow company policies and procedures
•Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
•Support payment collection
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates selected to interview must meet the following minimum requirements for consideration for this position:
•Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business related field preferred.
•Two years of similar experience at a minimum, possibly in the fastener business
•Highly proficient level computer skills including MS Office and experience with software management software
•Must be able to learn products, sales processes, and systems.
•Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent telephone sales personality skills.
•Prominent organization and presentation skills.
•Excellent time management skills.
•Highly energetic and self-starter.
•Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
•Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities.
•Availability to attend trainings at the parent company.
