JOB DESCRIPTION

Superior Group has an opening for an Inspector I in Santa Ana, CA.

Position reports directly to the Inspection Supervisor or Manager. Position will work within a team structure to perform inspection on finished and in-process implantable heart valves to ensure adherence quality requirements within a class 7 clean room environment. Position will perform various other tasks according to training and department needs.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scheduling and Administration

Inspect in-process and finished implantable heart valves and documentation for conformance to procedures and specifications.
Comply with company’s policy and procedures on maintenance personnel hygiene and CEA cleanliness to ensure product safety.
Provide feedback to area supervision regarding quality results on a regular basis.
Must maintain a high level of cooperation and positive interaction with team members and peers.
Follow company/department policies and guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Meet applicable quality and productivity requirements

Quality and Process Improvement

Ensures quality, safety practices and product adherence to specifications according to GMP, ISO, EHS requirements, and compnay Code of Ethics.
Ensure heart valves meet all applicable requirements and characteristics as part of the inspection process.
Identify areas for quality or process improvement.
Ensure all inventories, record keeping and traceability documents are accurate and correct.
Comply with company’s policy and procedures on maintenance of personnel hygiene and CEA cleanliness to ensure product safety
Performs other duties as assigned.

Interpersonal and Communication

Exhibits a proactive, take initiative attitude to provide positive impact on department and company as a whole.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Ability to complete relevant certification course(s)
Ability to work in a clean room, microscope proficiency, and minimum English language proficiency are required
Quality oriented and understanding of GMP / ISO.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Very good manual dexterity skills.
Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, specifications, correspondence and memos.
Well organized, detail oriented and efficient.
Ability to be objective and decisive.
High School Diploma
Basic computer literacy
0+ years of tissue valve quality evaluation which may or may not e specifically inspection related
