This position will be located on our South Lake campus. The Instructor will be responsible for instructional duties which maximize learning by students; supervising students in accordance with program procedures, academic, and course related concerns; teaching assigned courses in accordance with course descriptions; performing on-site clinical practice teaching at assigned hospitals; teach on multiple campus sites as needed; and perform other duties as assigned. In addition, the Instructor will maintain continued competence in assigned and related areas; maintain a good working relationship with students, faculty, staff, and members of the community; assist in the college's recruitment and retention efforts; assist with college governance by serving periodically on college committees; observe college rules/regulations and state guidelines appropriate to faculty responsibilities. The Instructor will be responsible for demonstrating LSSC's core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions. REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must possess an M.S. in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution. A Doctorate is preferred. Two (2) years of recent medical/surgical clinical experience is required.
