Instrument Processing Technician

Texas Childrens Hospital has excellent opportunities for bInstrument Processing Technicians,b also known as Sterile Processing Technicians, to assist the perioperative team in the acquisition, preparation, and application of supplies, instrumentation, and equipment necessary to performing perioperative procedures. The following skill set is required for this position: Knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique, sterilization principles and methods, JCAHO standards, and OSHA standards Knowledge of surgical and anesthesia equipment, and environmental cleaning Knowledge of surgical supplies and instrumentation To qualify for this position, you must fulfill the following requirements: A minimum of one year of hospital experience One year of ORAnesthesia related experience preferred CST Certification is highly desirable Texas Childrens is undertaking one of the largest expansions ever by a single childrens hospital.
