JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maintain, repair, replace, or install motors, wiring, recording instruments, regulating devices, sensing equipment.

* Keep all instruments throughout the plant properly calibrated, notify supervisor of necessary repairs and/or revisions, troubleshoot problems throughout the plant and other areas notes earlier.

* Perform work on robot, process computers, environmental equipment (on and off-site), and communication systems.

* Align couplings with straight edge on motor changes.

* Assist in selection, layout, and installation plans for new equipment.

* Adjust recordings equipment

* Inspect and clean motors throughout the plant

* Read, develop and follow blueprints and direct and assist other people working on jobs.

* Work with sub-contractors, vendors and service representatives.

Instrument/electricians will be responsible for job duties as they occur throughout the plant and other areas noted previously both inside and outside, with some noisy and at prevailing temperatures and weather conditions. Duties performed in production operating areas will require climbing ladders and stairs, heavy lifting, working around toxic and hazardous chemicals, moving machinery and de-energized high voltage electric gear.

The incumbent will help make estimates on major repair jobs, clean work area after completion of repairs, furnish data for ordering required replacement parts for equipment in use and attend company sponsored training programs.

Safety/Health: Instrument/Electricians are required to work safely and follow all safety rules and procedures. Attend most monthly safety meetings, report all unsafe conditions to supervisors at once and keep all tools and equipment in safe working condition. They will also be encourage to read and ask questions about safety material such as MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS (MSDS), JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA), JOB SAFETY INFORMATION (JSI) and know where to find them. Additionally, Instrument/Electrician should offer suggestions and seek answers concerning safety issues.

Environmental: Report any conditions, no matter how minor, that you feel could damage the environment surrounding the plant. Maintain integrity of environmental controls and perform job duties in a manner that will minimize waste.
