Interior Designer Health + Wellness PA (Community Studio)



Gensler Chicago is seeking a talented interior designer with a focus on healthcare interiors to collaborate on project teams in three-dimensional design, detailing and FF&E. In this position you will join the growing and highly collaborative Health & Wellness studio dedicated to improving health through design excellence.



What You Will Do

* Collaborate with the project team members to translate client goals into design drivers through visioning, programming and planning.

* Produce construction drawings including plans, interior elevations, millwork details, finish schedules, etc.

* Lead selection of project finishes and furniture from concept design through construction document delivery.

* Provide project team coordination for finish plans and specifications.

* Collaborate with the project team members for managing project deadlines and aligning design with client budgets.

* Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.

* Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.



Your Qualifications:

* Bachelor s degree and 3-7 years of experience as an interior designer with experience of at least 2 years focused in healthcare design. Experience in other areas of interiors welcomed (i.e. corporate, retail, mixed use, education, etc.).

* Extensive knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, creation of color and materials palette specific and appropriate to healthcare spaces.

* Knowledge of interior planning principles

* Outstanding graphic presentation skills.

* Proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D software to include Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

* Ability to focus on multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development for various clients.

* Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly internally and formally with clients.

* Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills.
