Co-op position - Associate Scientist

The position is in the Consumer Evaluation Department at the L'Oreal USA R&D facility in Clark, NJ. This group is responsible for the consumer product testing of all the consumer hair, skincare and makeup products manufactured by L'Oreal USA.

' Interacts with formulators to determine the consumer testing and consumer knowledge needs of the hair, skin and makeup labs
' Designs and executes consumer studies on how consumers apply/use hair, skin and makeup products and evaluates product satisfaction
' Drafts screeners for recruitment and works closely with Logistics department to ensure proper recruitment is completed
' Analyzes consumer test data and writes reports to clearly communicate findings to the formulation chemists
' Works with consumers, aesthetician, sensory/consumer scientists, formulators, instrumental and clinical/scientists

'Currently a BS or Master's student in Psychology, Anthropology or related field
' Excellent written/oral communication skills, ability to communicate in French a plus
' Knowledge of experimental design and scientific method
' Interest in human behavior/perception and the sensory properties of products
' Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and data entry
Must be legally eligible to work in the US on an on-going basis.
