Intern - Mechanical Engineering, Product Development Department (Part-time)

Internship starts January 2017

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This full-time internship position will report to the Sr. Manager of Product Development Engineering, and work on a toy development design team consisting of Engineering, Industrial Design, and Marketing.

The position will be responsible for assisting PDE staff on a number of design and/or production issues involved in toy development. The environment will be very hands-on, and will require creating prototype models based on engineering theory and knowledge. As a product development engineering intern you will be introduced to a very wide variety of technologies, projects, and experiences.



Experience, Education & Skills
SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Majors Requested: Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive or related field
3+ years of undergraduate engineering study preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
The ability and desire to work in a creative and 'hands on' team environment
Must be available a minimum of 40 hours a week
Our business hours are Monday thru Thursday 8am 5pm, and Fridays 8am 1pm

PREFERRED:
Pro Engineer/CREO knowledge
Familiar with plastic molding processes
Familiarity with machine shop equipment and tools
Strong 'hands-on' and creative problem solving skills
