International Relationship Officer/Portuguese
To support the sales and relationship management responsibilities of private bankers by providing superior service and flawless execution related to client management, retention, and acquisition processes. Establish close partnership with all areas of the bank to ensure timely execution of all sales-support related transactions and duties.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for providing relationship services and support for the bankers based in Ita- Unibanco group in Brazil, who have relationship with Brazilian clients with accounts in Ita Miami
Clients belong to the ultra-high-net-worth segment, individually having Assets under Management (AuM) equal to or above USD 10 million. The total portfolio of the client based managed in Miami reaches an estimated USD 1.5 billion AuM.
Act as a key contact, both external and internal, for clients' daily operational enquiries
Research, follow-up and resolve client inquiries and problems through effective interaction with clients, bankers, investors, product specialists, operations areas, and other staff in a timely and professional manner.
Acquire a deep knowledge of the client base becoming an additional point of reference to clients for all matters related to the account management process including, but not limited to, account management, product management, portfolio analysis and market information.
Participate in the acquisition, maintenance and development of relationships with ultra-high-net-worth Brazilian clients with comprehensive financial service needs
Contribute to client satisfaction and client retention, both of which are essential to growth in revenue and profitability
Manage and execute client transactions including, but not limited to, trades, transfer, wire transfers, credit and investment products
Responsible for supporting banker in executing sales strategies and all related operational duties
Possesses the specialized knowledge and skills essential to addressing key job challenges, solving major job-relevant problems and otherwise performing the technical responsibilities of the job with a high level of competence
Responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and timely and accurate execution of clients instructions
Establish strong partnerships with other areas of the bank to ensure high quality service to all clients
Proactively monitor clients' account status and report for any irregularities.
Possesses relevant knowledge of Banco Ita-Unibanco values, strategy, products/services and competitors
Uses Banco Ita-Unibanco technology, tools and resources to access, analyze and distribute information; demonstrates an understanding of the technology available to effectively support business partners / customers / clients
Review client documentation for completeness and accuracy as an initial quality check
Follow closely all trades and perform accurate cash management to avoid unnecessary problems in the account management process
Identify and act firmly to avoid or correct practices and procedures that do not comply with compliance standards or regulations
Review daily trades, transactional activity, and end of month statements for additional quality control purposes
Analyze and resolve client transactions or problems
Full compliance with BSA/AML laws, rules, regulations and the bank's BSA/AML policies and procedures
Five or more years of experience in client service, operations or private client relationship management support
Advanced account administration procedures
Series 7 required
Superior knowledge of private banking products and services
Solid knowledge of sales tools & applications such as Bloomberg, Olympic and MS Office
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
Fluency in Portuguese
Excellent command of the English language
