JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB SUMMARY
The Interventional Radiology Nurse Coordinator will act as a resource for the daily operations needs for Interventional Radiology (IR). This position, in collaboration with the Operations Manager, will be responsible for managing, recruiting, orienting, retaining, and terminating staff; and developing staff schedules. The Coordinator will guarantee efficient and smooth operational flow of IR by ensuring all supplies, patient care items and resources are available for cases; monitoring and analyzing fiscal areas; reviewing patient satisfaction data and developing corrective plans, if appropriate. This position will also assist UKHC Leadership in developing and implementing unit specific strategic plans and initiatives; and participate in staff development, quality assurance, and performance improvement projects for patient care.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical nursing experience with experience working in Interventional Radiology ; have direct patient care experience; have the ability to lead and direct others toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; demonstrates strong analytical and qualitative research experience; be well organized; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with their co-workers in a supportive team environment; outstanding computer skills (to include Microsoft Office); above average customer service skills; strong ability to engage and motivate others; active listening skills; and a thorough understanding of resource and employee management.
DOES THIS POSITION HAVE SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES*
BSN and 4 or more years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
