Job Description
Company: Childrens Mercy Hospitals & Clinics
Facility: Childrens Mercy Hospitals and Clinics at Kansas City
Department: Rehabilitation Tech
Job Responsibilities:
Provide Intraoperative Monitoring to the surgeons assessing the function of the brain and spinal cord during surgery which carries risks of neural compromise
Such monitoring has been shown to reduce the incidence of postoperative neurological deficits and is thus important to insure maximum patient safety and maximize good outcomes after surgery
Management of patient database
Policy & procedure development
Billing for procedures
Assisting in development of research protocols
Instructing other hospital personnel in techniques
Managing supplies
Attend continuing education seminars
Coordinate the schedule between disciplines
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Directly related work experience in lieu of degree
5-6 years experience
Registered EEG Technologist preferred
Registered Evoked Potential Technologist preferred
Registered CNIM Technologist preferred Full-time (64-80 hrs/pp) Day and Evening shifts
