This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating sales / demand forecasts and developing a demand plan through trending and assumption based analytics. It is also responsible for key customer service and supply chain related performance metrics, while also contributing to the Sales & Operations Planning process. br   br Duties & Responsibilities br ul
li Develop and maintain a 6 week demand plan for key categories across multiple business units and distribution facilities /li li Aggregate business unit forecasts and develop rolling 12 month item level demand plans /li li Work proactively with Sales, Marketing, Demand Management and Supply Chain personnel to avoid order shortages and excess inventory /li li Monitor business unit promotions, events, and market conditions to ensure accurate demand plans /li li Develop, monitor and communicate reports on forecast accuracy to Business Unit and Supply Chain organizations, while driving continuous improvement /li li Lead the Consensus discussion from a demand/forecasting perspective on a monthly basis /li li Achieve desired performance goals on key metrics such as item national and DC forecast accuracy /li li Work closely with the supply team to proactively identify issues with upcoming forecast changes /li li Ensure consensus forecast is aligned with the 12 month call for hand off to the capacity & finances teams and identify any significant changes prior to this occurring /li li Using the consensus call ensure that proper mix and DC level forecast are reflected /li li Provide detailed weekly communication of significant forecast changes and the assumptions behind them /li /ul
  br Requirements br ul
li Bachelor’s degree is required /li li 2-4 years of experience in demand management, planning, scheduling, or other supply chain focus is required /li li Knowledge of forecasting processes and demand analysis methodology is required /li li Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting technology or ERP systems is required /li li Must be detail oriented and capable of producing high quality information on a sustainable basis /li li High proficiency using PC based applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) is required /li li Strong communication skills are essential /li /ul
