Job Description

BHJOB8895_52528 DISYS is looking for a dynamic individual capable of thriving in a fast paced and high pressure environment to support the business as a Data Center Inventory Associate Systems Admin.

This individual must have experience in shipping/receiving logistics, inventory control management, and supply chain.

Main responsibilities will be to direct the Receiving and Shipping Operations to ensure accurate and timely receiving/shipping processes of all orders with maximum efficiency.

This position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, receives items for inventory and leads projects in accordance with current company policies and procedures.


Inspect and accurately receive small/large shipments of parts, pallets periodically by semi-trailer in accordance with the company's QA Manual; then place materials in assigned locations using the proper material handling equipment.

Assist with the maintenance of inventory databases for all equipment including hardware.

Basic understand of various hardware components such as hard drives, RAM, CPU's, Fiber and Copper cable, NIC, Fiber Cards, Cisco switches, NetApp, EMC, etc.

Ensure accurate data entry within ServiceNow and Oracle, including the receipt of accurate data during the receiving function using the company's receiving checklist.

Assist daily with all deliveries and pickups - primarily utilizing IQ, FedEx and UPS.

Ensure all shipments are safely and securely packaged to company standards.

Efficient planning and coordination of all administrative activities to ensure accurate results in all aspects of shipping and related operations.

Develop and maintain policies and procedures in regards to configurations, installations and systems for IT staff

Work to meet or exceed team based SLA's and KPI's around delivery and support

Work with a team of project managers, project coordinators and techniciansa to maintain supply of break/fix components and issue RMA's for components that have been replaced.

Communicate with colleagues, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous professional manner.

Conform and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Conform to all safety rules. Skills and Abilities Required:

Must be able to work independently.

Must be able to learn and understand new technologies quickly.

Familiarity with Oracle, Remedy, ServiceNow, Inventoria, SharePoint and/or basic Microsoft technologies.

Solid technical knowledge and experience with IT related hardware.

Excellent interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, adaptability and skills in recognizing politically sensitive situations

. Solid administrative and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent problem solving skills, ability to take ownership of the work assigned, and deliver results timely, reliably and correctly

. Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-pace environment with constantly changing priorities.

Maintain Punctual and good attendance and maintain excellent time management.


Any technical certifications and/or technical training highly desirable.

Must possess strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of users.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds to perform the physical installation and decommissioning of equipment including servers, network components and data center infrastructure gear


Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain management or related field or related experience

. 2+ years direct work experience in data center support role.

Solid experience working in shipping/receiving logistics and inventory control management.

Solid experience working with IT related hardware components.

Preferred, but not required:

Related certifications: A+, Server+ Hardware certifications: HP Series certifications, IBM iDataplex, Dell and Blade server related certifications.
