JOB DESCRIPTIONInventory Planner and Controls Manager
Manufacturing company in the Western Suburbs of Chicago is rolling out the red carpet for the right Inventory Planner and Control Manager. Position is targeted to grow within the company to a role with additional responsibility in the division.
* Manages the Master Production Schedule for the sister site in China to ensure that demand and supply are balanced at all times. Leads the action of unplanned demand, forecast shortfalls, production and inventory changes. Acts as the primary liaison between China facility and US plants.
* Balances current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements
*Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution
*Assists in reviewing new sales order requests to provide feasible promise dates to customer service before the orders are promised
*Reviews and sets planning parameters in order execution systems to ensure proper order generation
*Drives cycle time reduction projects
*Identifies and addresses root causes for delivery misses
*Continuously monitors slow moving inventory and drives reduction projects
*Engage on standard cadence with FP&A forecasting group to stay abreast and ahead of market changes.
*Drive working capital improvements and lead-time reductions using the PFEP process
*Balancing incoming orders, setting line rates to hit inventory and fulfilment targets
*Ideal candidate will understand the entire Value Stream
*Analyze incoming customer orders, working with vendors helping them work with their vendors
*Make sure Material is flowing through at all times.
*Bachelor's Degree (Engineering is a plus)
*3-8 years' experience (manufacturing and international is a plus)
