JOB DESCRIPTIONAmeditech (San Diego) is a major US manufacturing facility that develops and delivers reliable, high quality drugs of abuse testing products. Under general supervision, responsible for cleaning building, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy, as well as vacuums and buffs floors, shampoos carpets, empties trash receptacles, and replace trash can liners.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sweep and mop floors.
Clean building by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
Monitor building security and safety by checking door
Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
Mix various cleaning agents.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
Scrub, wax, and buff vinyl and tile floors
Clean smoking receptacles.
Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
Clean designated smoking area
Move heavy equipment and furniture.
Identify and report possible repairs.
Install restroom supplies to appropriate locations
Maintain janitorial supplies inventory
Other responsibilities as assigned
Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Alere and Ameditech Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the companys policies and practices.
Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job. Has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities.
Perform other duties & projects as assigned.
PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
High school diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED EXPERIENTIAL BACKGROUND:
One year commercial/industrial experience with laboratory setting in janitorial maintenance. Knowledge of resilient floor maintenance.
Work independently and in team environment.
First shift but may be required to work overtime and weekends.
Basic computer skills.
