Java Architect

Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately
200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries.
They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with
financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit,
corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services,
and wealth management. Java ArchitectJob DescriptionThe candidate should
have exceptional communication, negotiation, influencing and persuasion
skills coupled with strong analytical and problem solving skills across
Java and Oracle technologies. The candidate needs to be a detail oriented
self starter who can take direction and then proceed independently. The
ideal candidate should be able to take ownership and drive issues to resolution.

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years of proven financial industry background (preferably
in Credit Cards) - Minimum 10 years of Java application design and development
experience - Strong understanding of agile development, object oriented
analysis and design, design patterns, high availability and concurrent
programming - Significant experience with J2EE, JMS, Weblogic, Websphere
- Experience developing SOA and writing/consuming web services - Experience
with web programming languages such as Javascript, JSP, PHP, AJAX, GWT,
XHTML, iText - Strong Oracle Database and SQL experience - Ability to translate
functional requirements into technical design, while considering security,
usability and performance impacts of the design - Excellent analytical
and technical skills. - Strong understand of security and its applicability
to the financial services sector - Ability to create re-usable frameworks
for use by the development team - Self motivated with good time management
