POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Java Developer(s) needed to drive enterprise-class design and development of Java frameworks, applications and services to enable Ford Credit application teams to focus on building applications that support high volumes, are fast, simple, reliable, distributed, and easy to extend and maintain. Project Details: - Enhancing and maintaining the Ford Credit Java frameworks - Develop the core framework specifications by interpreting the application requirements - Develop design documentation using UML and Logical design from the Conceptual mode - Responsible for understanding the capabilities and limitations of the frameworks - Collaborate with program architecture leadership - Design and develop unit tests and participate in integration testing - Ability and willingness to work in fast paced and dynamic environment

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Java SE and Java EE Expertise including JPA, JSF, EJB, JAX-WS, JMS, JDBC, and CDI - Network protocol expertise including HTTP, SOAP, SMTP, and FTP - Application Design - Design Patterns - Demonstrated understanding of performance tuning multi-tiered java applications - Ability to quickly create local test cases to isolate and simulate error conditions - Excellent interpersonal skills in handling both internal and external teams and business customers

SKILLS PREFERRED:

OO Design pattern familiarity - UNICODE - XML - Mainframe technologies - C

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5+ years overall IT experience, including: - 5+ years of Java, JAVA EE development experience using Eclipse or similar tooling - 3+ years of experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design - 1+ years of experience with JSF and JPA - 2+ years of experience with WAS Liberty and/or WebLogic

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline--
