Javascript/Flash Developer - College Sports

The Javascript/Flash Developer - College Sports is a great opportunity for a self-starter, who is comfortable with a fast-paced team environment, and has a strong desire to work on sports-related, XML-driven applications including Live Stats applications, Video Players, Scoreboards, Brackets, etc.

Job Summary
CBS Interactive is seeking a Javascript/Flash Developer to work with its College Sports Product Development team to develop unique applications for our 200+ websites. This position is focused on front-end development and maintenance of complex web applications. The Developer will work closely with the Engineering, Design and Production teams to develop and support dynamic applications, provide technical documentation and QA support.

Responsibilities
- Application development and maintenance in Actionscript 2/3 and Javascript
- Full testing of code produced and complete de-bugging prior to launch
- Post launch analysis including documentation and accountingRequired Skills/Experience- 3-5 years experience developing complex web applications in both Actionscript and Javascript
- Experience parsing XML data a must
- Experience working in both Actionscript 2 and 3- Advanced skill coding with HTML/CSS + Javascript - Experience using JQuery or related Javascript frameworks
- Comfortable working within an existing code base
- Detail and quality obsessed
- Ability to work in a small, dynamic programming team with numerous responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work with remote teams
- Must be solutions-oriented and someone who is not afraid to bring ideas to the table
- Impeccable references

Preferred Skills:

- Experience converting Flash/Actionscript applications to Javascript
- Solid HTML/CSS knowledge and explorations into HTML5
- Some front-end design experience (Photoshop/Illustrator)
