Position Description: Jr. Grants/Budget Analyst

Job Description
The Jr. Contractor will be responsible for processing grant agreements for review by the Grant Office and shall demonstrate familiarity with Federal procurement regulations and terminology. He/she shall support the Grant Officer with modification requests and assist OPDR with GAO (general accounting office) engagements including review and preparation of materials.

The Jr. Contractor shall assist the senior contractor as well as participate in the development of ARRA (American Recovery Reinvestment Act) reports and a comprehensive file to assist staff in identifying problems and making recommendations for improving methods.

The Jr. Contracting staff shall provide national office program support to the 244 ARRA grantees representing $730 million. These staff will coordinate online training for grantees by scheduling webinars and conference calls, check the green.jobs@dol.gov inbox for inquiries from grantees, support and respond to grantee inquiries on programmatic reporting procedures, gather performance reports and summarize outcomes, and edit and review training materials and presentations.

The Jr. Contracting staff shall provide national office program support in preparing numerous answers to questions generated by the Recovery Act Transparency Board, the Office of Management & Budget, the General Accountability Office, Congressional inquiries and any other inquiries. This staff would maintain the tracking chart of all ARRA activities and perform other duties as requested to support the program office.

The Junior Grants/Budget Analyst shall have a minimum of three (3) years in reviewing and processing grant agreements and the preparation and analysis of budgetary documents. A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
