We are currently hiring for an entry level sales representative to join our current thriving digital sales force. We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality and strong work ethic who desires a career working with highly educated, interesting and professional customers.
The JUNIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER will contact Academic Libraries in the US to promote T&F Digital products. The Junior Account Manager will be responsible for calling prospective buyers, initiating trials and closing sales.
This position requires limited to no experience in Sales, college degree highly preferred.
Prospect for and add new customers, primarily through B2B cold calls.
Promote products to institutions who have academic or research programs in a specific subject area
Cross sell products to new and existing customers.
Answer incoming inquiries and contact provided leads to generate new opportunities.
Assist with the resolution of customer issues where appropriate
Provide weekly and/or monthly reports detailing sales and trial activities within territory
Travel to regional conferences and on account visits as required. (Anticipated travel is about 10%.)
Other duties as assigned
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal skills a must.
Comfort with B2B Cold Calling our customers know who we are, but may not have worked directly with us in the past.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Understanding of the academic or corporate library market preferred
Proficiency with Word, Power Point and Excel required
Bachelor s degree plus 1-3 years of work experience preferred or equivalent work experience
