VHB is searching for an entry-level/junior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Structures group in our Watertown, MA office.

Responsibilities: Assist in the conceptual design through final design of bridges and other transportation-related structures Assist in the field with bridge inspections and evaluations Prepare structural design calculations Prepare quantity calculations and cost estimating Prepare design plans and other contract documents
Skills and Abilities: Must possess strong technical skills Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Proactive and self-motivated Excellent attention to detail Enthusiasm to learn, seek out opportunities, and take responsibility
Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineer Technology (structural emphasis) 0-3 years experience Engineer in Training (or ability to pass the FE within 6 months) Experience with MicroSoft Office Suite, MathCAD Must have demonstrated AutoCAD experience, Microstation v.8 a plus 3D modeling experience and interest a plus (Google sketch up, Autodesk 3DS, Infraworks) Experience w/ structural analysis and design software a plus (STAAD, LARSA, MDS) Please submit applications online.
