The Key Account Manager will provide technical expertise and strategic selling techniques to sales team in the promotion and introduction of the Vasonova tip positioning technology achieving company sales revenue targets while maximizing PICC pull through opportunities. Provide indirect supervision to the sales representatives in assigned territory. Directs, coordinates and evaluates the components of the sales process. In concert with the RSM and CSS interviews and helps to train employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems (where appropriate).
Drive regional sales revenues by planning and coordinating regional Vasonova sales activities in concert with the regional management team
Manage and support hospital clinical trials
Monitor and report results and forecast sales in a clear and timely fashion
Manage and coordinate intercompany relationships so that targeted sales revenues are achieved
Develop and build territory KOL relationships
Support key trade fairs and congresses as necessary
Help develop sales strategy and tactics with team members and support/drive execution
Monitor and report regional competitor activity
Provide Reports to senior management that will include (i) Territory sales by units and revenues (ii) Strategic territory plans (iii) Identifying resources required for effective implementation this to be rolled up to the regional level
Managing and coordinating customer interface and relationships across all stake holders involved in the complex sales cycle
Be a key educator for the Vasonova technology communicating the clinical, patient and hospital benefits
Communicate internally and externally, motivating people without the necessity of formal management/direct report authority
Be comfortable in working within a complex matrix environment being able to take the lead and inspire.
Position requires direct contact with Implantable Device
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related subject
At least five to seven years of experience working within a recognized medical device company working in a senior sales or management position
Experience in initiating and managing hospital clinical trials at all levels within the hospital
Proven track record of sales success
Clinically knowledgeable with a history of utilizing basic A & P as a major part of driving a sale forward
Experienced in supporting/driving sales process bedside and/or within the sterile/clean field
