Job Description
This position is part of the global data networking team supporting Timken's global networking infrastructure. This position performsduties spanning from Project team member to Project Lead on network projects.Opportunities to learn current and new networking technologies. Responsibilities: - Provide technical support for routers, switches, firewalls, wireless LAN. - Assist in networking maintenance activities and issue resolution. - Supporting projects to roll out new or upgraded network technologies and services. - Supporting LAN and WAN capacity management process. - Implementing solutions to meet customer operational needs. - Maintaining network documentation. - Providing technical consulting on new installs and design. - Project lead on WAN/LAN projects. - Tracking and maintaining KPI stats and measurements.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in IT related with Networking base with 0-3 years experience or CCNA Certification
- Technical Trouble shooting and Problem resolution skills TCP/IP communications protocol
- Team Skills
Desired:
- Skills in managing CISCO and Juniper products
- CCNA study or certifications desired
- Project management skills
- Ability to multi-tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively while managing deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with others, and represent highly technical issues, in business terms, to non-technical audiences.
- Strong sense of ownership with results oriented approach.
- Must be highly proficient at using a PC and associated software.
