* Program OverviewJoin our Northrop Grumman team working in conjunction with the Army in defining the future\. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Army Knowledge Online \(AKO\) program supporting over 1M users worldwide\.Position DescriptionAs part of integrated project team you will get to use your technical knowledge and experience in designing, implementing and testing a scalable and secure LDAP\-based security infrastructure for the AKO program\.The LDAP Systems Engineer will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation; develop LDAP schema designs and operational plans for populating, maintaining, operating, deploying and enhancing various forms of Enterprise\-level directories; refine the role based security framework used for authentication and single sign\-on\. A successful candidate will have complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field and a general knowledge of other related disciplines\. Must also be able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings\.ResponsibilitiesSupports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies\.Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints\.Guides major programs to successful completion; may function as a project leader\.Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require ingenuity and creativity\.Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet DoD security requirements\.Participates in project performance/process improvement teams\.Works with multiple teams at AKO to develop, document, and verify policies\.Analyzes general information assurance\-related technical problems and provides engineering/technical support in solving these problems\.Basic Qualifications:
+ 5 Years with Bachelor of Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred; however, additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree+ An active DoD Secret\-level clearance OR ability to obtain an initial Interim DoD Secret clearance \(with ability to obtain full Secret\)+ 2 years of experience with LDAP, preferably experience with Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition \(ODSEE\) and/or Oracle Virtual Directory \(OVD\)+ Experience supporting a large\-scale deployment of LDAP \(preferably Oracle/Sun\)+ Must be able to install, configure and maintain applications+ Knowledge to include, but not limited to, LDIF file syntax, DIT \(Directory Information Tree\) backups, ACIs \(Access Control Instructions\), replication, indexing, and log interpretation/analysis+ Experience in automating user account and group membership creation+ Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills+ Strong knowledge of single sign\-on authentication+ Perl and shell scripting abilities+ Familiarity with Solaris 10, Linux and Unix utilities \(grep, sed, etc\)+ Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies \(3DNS, VIPs, etc\)+ Analytical thinker/troubleshooter, knowledge of IT security best practicesPreferred Qualifications+ Experience with object level design practices in Java, C/C , Perl, and/or other development environments+ Excellent process and data modeling skills \(using Visio or other tools\)ISCYBERDIVNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
