SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for being part of the team executing the Lean deployment plan in support of the Lean transformation across various businesses. This position will lead delivery of advantaged capabilities to achieve a reduction in total delivered cost for the Global businesses. The incumbent will serve as a Lean “sensei” or master teacher, providing expert advice on end to end Value Stream along with one or more of the following areas: Lean Management Systems, Business Process Improvement, and building capability.

While the incumbent is concerned with all aspects of end to end value stream capability, the primary emphasis is to work with the leader to focus on specific areas of the total value stream, deploying and working on readiness as defined in the deployment model. In doing so, the incumbent has responsibility to achieve targets associated with waste elimination, variability reduction and lead time reduction.

Though the position has no direct deputies there is a strong indirect relationship with other Lean Coordinators or designated points of contact throughout the supply chain, and business supporting functions. The incumbent must be able to effectively lead multifunctional teams.

The incumbent must effectively collaborate and influence functions and organizational units engaged in Lean transformation. Interactions will cover a broad range and may include sector leadership to line operations to sales and customer/supplier interactions. He/she will coordinate periodic exchanges between team members from various business unit functions to gain synergies and leverage learnings to improve Lean deployment.

Customers: Other Centers of Excellence, Supply Chain Leadership, Consumer Facing Business Leadership and Global business units

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Performs a variety of functions associated with product
production and manufacturing. Monitors process equipment
requirements and set-up, ensuring that all equipment used is compatible with the specific process. Ensures that
processes, tools, products and materials meet established
quality standards and requirements. Monitors use of and
maintains inventory of necessary raw materials. Serves as
liaison between various functional team members.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Value Stream strategies and tactical execution to achieve advantaged capabilities in support of business objectives.
-Lead implementation of initiatives supporting the end to end Value Stream phased deployment model through waste, variability and lead time reduction, utilizing process improvement methodologies that deliver sustainable results.
-Act as an internal cross-functional expert providing guidance and consultation supporting the Global Lean Transformation. Specific areas of focus include:
o Be a master teacher for deployment
