DESCRIPTION

Responsible for digital library project management, including but not limited to project milestone tracking, budget management, timeline development, in-house digitization work and QA/QC processes. Participates actively in DLDP staff meetings, the Digital Library Operations Group, and other groups as needed.

Responsible for grant-funded digital collection activities. Tracks grant funding opportunities and works with the Digital Collection Group, the Digital Steering Committee and others to coordinate grant applications. Provides project management for grant-funded projects as workload allows.

Oversees communication, promotion and assessment activities related to digital collections. Coordinates these endeavors with the Communication and Engagement Program, Digital User Services Program, and others. Working with project stakeholders, develops promotional material in keeping with project objectives and other project capstone activities.

Plans for and participates in appropriate outreach and promotion activities. Collaboratively manages assessment activities, including the development and execution of user surveys, focus groups and other assessment tools. Works closely with the DLDP and other program directors to select and implement assessment activities tailored to overall assessment goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using project management software for planning, tracking and assessing project work. Familiarity with project management best practices.
*

Demonstrated experience working with digitization/digital library projects for academic libraries.
*

Familiarity with common online assessment tools and assessment best practices. Experience Assessing User Needs.
*

Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to balance multiple projects and to develop procedures and workflows for each project.
*

Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to convey critical timelines and dependencies to project stakeholders and contributors.
*

Strong attention to detail with respect to identifying, tracking and communicating project budgets, objectives, milestones and challenges.
*

Experience promoting academic material or endeavors including the application of social media tools in doing so preferred.
