SERVICE AREA OVERVIEW
Northside Hospital is one of the largest and most respected providers of comprehensive cancer services in the Southeast, combining the latest in technology and research with compassionate patient-centered care. The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute offers the best of both worlds: clinical excellence on par with academic-based programs, along with the personalized and attentive care typically associated with a community hospital. Our Program has received an Outstanding Achievement Award as a fully accredited Comprehensive Community Hospital Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeon s Commission on Cancer. Specialty areas include BMT, Women s, Prostate, and Research.
Renders direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the Patient Care Division. Works under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse and the Clinical Supervisor in an assigned clinical area within a patient population as defined by the unit. The Licensed Practical Nurse may be temporarily reassigned to any of the Hospital s patient care areas at the discretion of the House Coordinator or Director.
Required: Graduation from an approved school of practical nursing. Certified in skills applicable to area within designated time frame. Current, valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (CPR and AED) Program card. Preferred: Previous experience in specialty area.
