In the Fall of 2010 we began one of the largest hospital construction projects in America with a new replacement hospital of 2.5M sq ft. and investment of $1.27B, slated for completion in 2014. http:newparkland.parklandhospital.com ). buPrimary Purposeub ul class=noindent liResponsible for overseeing laboratory operations of Lab Central (high volumerapid response lab) to provide critical lab services on third shift as well as further the overall goals and objectives of the Pathology Department.li liServes as the primary on site leader to address Pathology wide issues and concerns.li liSelects, trains, motivates, supervises and evaluates laboratory staff to ensure maximum utilization of individual and group capabilities, while providing optimal service to internal and external customers.li liDevelops, monitors and assures the technical competence, efficiency and productivity of assigned staff. Serves as the technical resource in resolving internal and external customer problems and concerns.li liMonitors the performance of computer systems and lab operations to ensure the integrity of results and availability to providers.li li class=c2 buPosition Requirementsub li liMust have a Bachelors degree and completed an accredited Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) programli liMust be certified by a national certification agencyli liMust have a minimum of six years of advanced to complex level applicable clinical laboratory experience to include one year of experience in a lead capacityli liMust have effective supervisory skills and excellent interpersonal skillsliul
