Bio-Reference Laboratories is the lab of choice for many in the Northeast. Serving the greater New York Metropolitan Area, and now a significant presence on the West Coast in Campbell California as well as Florida, Houston and Maryland. The Company offers routine clinical tests, including Pap smears, pregnancy tests, cholesterol checks, and blood cell counts. Through its GenPath business unit, it also performs more sophisticated "esoteric" testing in areas such cancer pathology and molecular diagnostics. It gets most of its orders (about 3.5 million per year) from doctors' offices, collecting specimens at about 50 patient centers scattered throughout its service area in New York and New Jersey.
Our laboratory service in the New York Metro area is our core business, but it has expanded beyond those geographical boundaries through acquisitions, particularly in the area of specialty testing.

Under the General Supervision of the LabIT Support Supervisor, the Lab Systems Support Analyst I will provide technical and operational process guidance to clinical technologists and pathologists. He or She will provide clinical application support to end users, diagnose and troubleshoot application issues. The analyst will provide technical guidance in activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported application problems. He or She will operate as a liaison between technical personnel and the application users as well as work directly with other support analysts to resolve reported issues. The analyst is expected to triage support issues and flag them as systemic or operational. He or She will be expected to escalate systemic issues and application design requests to the project management team along with report a summary of each day s support issues.
Working as the Lab Systems Support Analyst I you will be in frequent contact with water (hand washing and cleaning), bio hazardous body fluids, and hazardous chemicals. Sufficient noise and interruptions may cause distraction and stress. This is a hazardous working condition in which an individual is exposed to the definite risk of bodily injury through contact with moving instrumentation, chemicals, and/or body fluids.

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
