MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST:JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs procedures on patient specimens, both inpatient and outpatient, in a timely and professional manner for prompt patient treatment.
EDUCATION:Must have a bachelor s degree and be a graduate of an approved school of Medical Technology.CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING:Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Society of Clinical Pathology.MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN:JOB SUMMARY:Under general supervision of a medical technologist, performs procedures on patient specimens, both inpatient and outpatient, in a timely and professional manner for prompt patient treatment. Adheres to limits placed on procedures to be done and refers appropriate procedures to the medical technologist.
EDUCATION:Associate degree in Science or successful completion of an accredited medical laboratory technician program or military medical laboratory training program.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: 1 year experience or training in an accredited laboratory

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING:Must have attained certification by the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC), AMT, HEW, NCA or equivalent or are registry eligible.
