This job posting is for a technician position in the Silanes Technology Group located in Tarrytown, NY. The candidate for this position will work under general supervision as a member of the Coatings, Adhesives and Sealants (CAS), Additives team and conduct Laboratory Research and Application development work to drive growth of Momentive s CAS, Additives Business.
Conduct routine laboratory procedures with general supervision directed at the preparation and evaluation of various CAS compositions. This will include chemical analysis and physical testing of raw materials and of compositions containing these materials plus the preparation of fully formulated products and the evaluation of the performance of these under a variety of conditions and applications and according to specified protocols. He/she will conduct all necessary calculations and record experimental data and observations in an organized laboratory notebook. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing tables, charts, graphs and written summaries of experimental results. The candidate must also maintain a safe and orderly laboratory work environment at all times.
Up to 2 years experience in a chemical industry lab environment
BS/BA degree in Chemistry
