Language Analysts

A-T Solutions, Inc. is currently accepting resumes for experienced and qualified Language Analysts. As a Language Analyst with A-T Solutions, your work will have a significant impact in providing the most accurate and complete picture to military commanders, U.S. policymakers, and various Intelligence Community members. You will be responsible for determining the relevancy of collected intelligence, and to fully analyze that information in order to provide a product that will directly impact national security and global affairs. It is an enormous and exceptionally satisfying responsibility. Primary duties will include internet research in foreign language, translation of articles, summarization of key points, and report creation.
Various locations (Ft. Meade, MD; Ft. Gordon, GA Languages of immediate interest include:
Pashto, Urdu, Dari, and Arabic, all at ILR Professional Performance Level 2 or higher. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to successfully translate a wide variety of complex texts that may contain difficult, idiomatic, scientific, and colloquial writing. - Can capture subtleties, nuances, tone and register of material in order to put it into context; text may require commentary reflecting a specific culture.- Must be able to capture meaning of socio-cultural elements embedded in text. - Must be able to identify and expertly summarize all pertinent factual information and abstract concepts, recognizing the significance of complex expressions, such as colloquial text or technical terminologies. - Ability to triage documentation to isolate the full-range of information that is of importance to the task at hand. - Masters use of and assists in development of reference materials. - Ability to review audio material and transcribe information into Source Language with a high-degree of accuracy and expression. - Must have an excellent understanding of one or more regional dialects. Requirements- Must be US Citizen- Must be fluent in English and target language (Pashto, Urdu, Dari, Arabic)- Possess strong cultural knowledge- Very Good to Excellent computer skills (MS applications, Internet research)- TS/SCI with Poly Additional Information -
