Job Description

Community Education Centers(CEC) is a leading provider of residential and outpatient community corrections programs. Working in over 100 locations across the U.S., we provide a foundation of support to change addictive and criminal behaviors and effectively prepare our residents for community reintegration. With programming that encompass assessment, drug and alcohol education, and education services for juvenile and adult populations. We are redefining effective means to reduce recidivism.
We are currently seeking an Assessment Counselor for the Bo Robinson site located in Trenton, New Jersey.

Under general supervision and as part of a team, employee administers standard risk assessment and diagnostic testing instruments with the residents. Interviews residents; reviews DOC files and testing scores; prepares assessment reports.

* Candidate will be part of the assessment team that administers and interprets the following risk
assessment and diagnostic instruments such as: LS/CMI (Level of Service Case Management
Inventory); TCU DS-II (Texas Christian University Drug Screen II); PAI (Personality Assessment
Inventory); WPT (Wonderlic Personnel Test); SARA (Spousal Assault Risk Assessment); PCL-R
(Psychopathy Checklist); DAPS (Detailed Assessment of Post Traumatic Stress)

* Interview male & female residents to collect relevant information
* Review NJ Department of Corrections and State Parole files
* Interpret assessment findings in order to prepare written Assessment reports
* Attend weekly assessment meeting and present cases

Masters degree in a mental health/counseling; forensic psychology or criminal justice preferred.
Assessment experience preferred.

Must be able to accomodate a flexible work schedule.
