span Job Title: Lead Build and Release Engineer br Location: Washington, DC br Type:  Full Time Employee br   br Modis is looking to hire a full time career oriented Build and Release Engineer for a job opportunity in Washington, DC. br   br This is a permanent opportunity, no contractors please br Lead experience is a preferred br   br Job Description: br   br A Build & Release Lead Engineer is responsible for automating build and deployment of software for internal and public facing web applications and services, maintenance and enhancement of source control system, software configuration management, continuous integration, and build/deployment tools to successfully and efficiently release code to production. He/She participates in industry/knowledge reference groups. Involves mastery of a specialized discipline and thorough understanding of a number of disciplines. May also require development of new solutions for complex projects. br   br Job Qualifications: br   br ul
li Providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise's overall systems architecture. /li li Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise. /li li Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals. /li li Designs and develops the enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms required for middleware. Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise's architecture needs. /li li Bachelor's degree and ten or more years of experience in systems engineering/systems integration. /li /ul

li Linux/Unix /li li Python /li li Shell Scripting /li li DevOps technologies such as Git, Puppet, Docker, Bamboo /li li Design and support IaaS solutions /li li Cloud Computing /li li Best practices for IT operations processes /li li Middleware products and standards /li li Design and support integrations with SaaS products /li li Intermediate knowledge in one or more ITIL module. /li /ul

li   /li li Experience in other programming languages such as C, C++, Golang, Java /li li 5+ years of experience automating systems in complex environments. /li /ul
