Job Description

LogistiCare seeks a full time Lead Claims Processor. The Lead Claims Processor is responsible for assisting the management team with oversight of the verification and processing of transportation billing with accuracy and in a timely manner and serves as a liaison between the transportation providers and LogistiCare. In addition he/she ensures that the Claims Processors have adequate training and are proficient in their daily tasks and provide assistance with difficulties or questions by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties & Requirements:

- Conducts the training of billing clerks

- Provides assistance to claims processors with difficult issues

- Maintains a positive working relationship with external and internal customers

- Communicates with transportation providers when applicable

- Meets all departmental deadlines

- Identifies any problems with transportation billing

- Works closely with both the Regional Offices

- Maintains a polite and courteous manner at all times

- Maintains/updates call logs

- Maintains/updates Excel spreadsheets

- Attends all required meetings

- Maintains an acceptable attendance and tardiness record

- Adheres to company policies and procedures

- Meets with management to discuss training/ workflow issues

- Performs other administrative duties as assigned

Education:

- Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent with previous experience in data processing. Some supervisory experience preferred.

Experience:

- One to two years of experience leading or directing staff preferred

- Previous experience in data processing required

Skills:

- 10-key skills are REQUIRED

- Ability to accurately type 35 words per minute

- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team

- Superior customer service and phone skills

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; Access a plus

- Must have the ability to learn proprietary software applications

Environmental and Working Conditions:

- Entire work time is conducted in an office setting
