Cox Communications is looking for a Lead Cloud Service Design Architect. The Service Design Architect role is responsible for producing quality, secure, and resilient design documents for new or improved services. This individual will maintain the service center portfolio, taxonomy and repository, assist in identifying service requirements, and document new service offerings and changes / improvements to existing services. This role is responsible for coordinating all service design and launch activities, processes, and resources as well as producing and maintaining all service design documentation.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Manage the overall service launch lifecycle; ensure the consistent and effective design of new and changed services or improvements through the service design lifecycle
Develop and improve Service Management governance processes that ensure compliance with standards across the enterprise
Organize, direct, and coordinate policies and procedures on all matters related to Service Governance; practical experience of process redesign, process management and continuous improvement methods and techniques
Ensure the consistent and effective design of new and changed Client IT services
Provide support to Service Transition in the successful implementation of new, changed, or future services in to live production at Client
Generally 5-8 years of related experience OR generally 3-5 years of related experience if candidate has an advanced degree
Experience in a multi-tiered, distributed and diverse infrastructure and in large environments
Experience with automation, x86 servers, storage systems, and network systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with minimal direction, yet able to work in a team environment
Strong organizational skills, with experience of project management and program management
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effectively manage Client stakeholders and team members to ensure new Service Delivery Models are adopted and used
Ability to manage people with proven leadership skills to work with the Client Service Delivery Team
Knowledge of design principles and experience in service delivery
Ability to communicate key messages surrounding service design to all levels of Client business teams
Proficient in ITIL service management processes, with practical knowledge and experience in the Service Design lifecycle processes
Strong understanding and extensive usage of ITIL best practices in Service Design, Service Transition and Operations
Experience with change management principles and approaches to influence stakeholders and cultivate knowledge-sharing behaviors
