JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB DESCRIPTION:
The contractor will fill the role of Lead working directly with the business line, the Lean Architect and dedicated Change Agents provided by the line of business. The Lead is a ?hands on? role helping within the organization and will span all phases of the program from planning, diagnostic, design, deployment through sustainment.
? Leads the effort to develop and implement new or revised processes, procedures, initiatives.
? Takes projects from original concept through final implementation, provide a single point of contact for assigned projects.
? Defines project scope and objectives.
? Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
? Oversees the implementation of very large/critical corporate initiatives, typically spanning the entire organization or include various and distinct LOB?s.
? Work with Lean Architect to identify key initiatives, deploy solutions and adapt tools to specific environment
? Conducts complex research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues and develops formal recommendations for presentation to management.
? Oversees complex corporate initiatives that include various phases and large cross functional project teams.
? Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
? Runs project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
? Provides updates to senior leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of new or revised procedures, processes, and/or initiatives.
? Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met.
? Manages critical relationships with consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership.
? Provides information and/or training to end users to help resolve inquiries related to assigned processes, procedures, and/or initiatives.
? Performs other duties as assigned or required.
? Leads and motivates project team members that are not direct reports that may span the entire organization.
? 10+ years of related work experience.
? Practical knowledge of the application of Lean thinking as a tool for cultural change (understands what it means to ?help them do it? versus ?do it for them?)
? Hands on experience deploying lean and lean tools
? Excellent communication skills and ability to coach managers
? Critical thinker: able to break down issues into various components, diagnose magnitude and impact and lean a team to design solutions; looks for root-causes, break down and dimension issues
? Sense of urgency and a bias for action and experimentation
? Ability to take the work seriously, but have a light touch and engaging approach
? Strong problem solver individually and in groups
? Think horizontally across silos; able to see not just fixes but changes to operating models
? Empathetic and a good listener
? Creative and Pragmatic
