JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsibilities:The Lead Consultant of Promotions is responsible for producing forecasts for all online, in-store, insert, and seasonal promotions (EBW). He/she will assess current process gaps and provide solutions to improve forecast accuracy. The position will work cross functionally as a liaison between the merchandising analysis team, inventory management and merchants to evaluate requested promotions and assist in determining sales performance outcomes of multiple scenarios. The Lead Consultant of Promotions will play an integral role in weekly insert and quarterly EBW reviews to understand category objectives and help identify sales opportunities while minimizing inventory risks. The position will represent supply chain in whiteboard meetings with merchants to proactively address forecasting issues early in the promotional process and provide recommendations on forecasting promotions that would improve the company's inventory position and financial outlook. Manage the retail promotional forecast process for promotions and EBW products resulting in an improvement in forecast accuracy by doing the following:
Manage current forecasting methodology by determining root causes of forecast inaccuracies and implementing solutions to improve. Supervise promotions consultant to execute standard practices in forecasting methodology. Represent supply chain in weekly insert meetings to partner with merchandising and proactively identify any potential forecasting risks and recommend solutions. Analyze EBW forecasts to determine potential forecasting risks and partner with merchants to implement promotional solutions. Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate and/or perform analysis of potential forecast trends found in historical inventory sales Innovate a newly created process where this position would be a liaison between the merchandising promotion team, inventory management, and merchants. The position would provide guidance and recommendation on forecasting promotions that would improve the company's inventory position and financial outlook. Provide relevant forecast analysis and insights that help the Forecast Managers/Analysts understand and act upon sales opportunities and category objectives Serve as the primary support/back-up for the Director of Forecasting and represent the promotion team for internal functions/meetings Qualifications:- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years experience in related field. Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Forecasting, Analytics Other Information:- Area of study in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Accounting, Applied Mathematics, Management Information Systems or similar
