Lead Supply Assistant & Loader

Job Summary Responsible for the supervision of assigned Kitting Operation staff. May be responsible for the coordination of vehicle maintenance and assignment of vehicles for mobiles. Assist as needed in routine donor room activities. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive image of American Red Cross Biomedical Services. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Job Responsibilities 1. Comply with any Local Operating Procedures and Exposure Control Plan policies and procedures as well as all Red Cross policies and procedures. 2. Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and quality control checks in accordance with written procedures. 3. Plan for and ensure that adequate equipment and supplies areavailable at all mobile operations. 4. May be responsible for ensuring the required supplies & kits are loaded on the trucks/vans that supply the blood mobile. 5. Perform other related duties as necessary. Scope Perform routine tasks in accordance with established standard operating procedures under limited supervision. Serve as a team or shift leader assisting in the training or mentoring of other kitting staff.High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum three years experience as a MUA or in fleet management required. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. A current valid driver’s license and good driving record is required (commercial driver’s license may be required). Effective verbal communication and public relations skills are required. The duties are representative of the essential functions of the position. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds; reach, bend, kneel, climb, push and pull; work in tight spaces and use a variety of tools and equipment.
