Job Summary The intent of the position of the Lead Trainer is to enliven the mission and promise of Nobu Hospitality and Eden Roc Management. The Lead Trainer of Learning & Quality will be issued projects by the Director of Learning & Quality in the realms of strategizing, implementing, and maintaining obligatory records for aspects of the training initiatives and quality assurance measures of the operation in line with both proprietary standards and luxury level hospitality rating systems. The Lead Trainer of Learning & Quality will assist with upholding the colleagues to both industry-wide and Nobu Hospitality specific elevated guest service standards and will interact with all levels of the structural organization of a luxury hotel environment. This role supports the training aspects of standards, the creation of a training framework, and the evaluation of performance gaps. He/she assists the Director of Learning & Quality in maintaining the highest standards of record keeping. He/she utilizes creative processes and resources to promote a climate where luxury, fun, and theater meet. Additionally, he/she will assist with the design and implementation of training and quality strategies and assist with the supervision of a team of departmental trainers. Scope of Position The Lead Trainer of Learning & Quality will assist with the creation and facilitation of learning and quality activities. These activities must align with the strategic direction of Nobu Hospitality and Eden Roc Management, its values, mission and pillars. This position ensures that all high quality, innovative and well-designed programs are rolled out in the intended fashion. Effective evaluation measures and analysis will be employed by this position with direction from the Director of Learning & Quality. The Lead Trainer of Learning & Quality will regularly assess colleague and guest feedback and a positive flow through effect to guest satisfaction. This role will be one that leads by demonstration of the standards, adhering to and exemplifying all aspects of standards and philosophies. This role is executed with passion, positivity, and professionalism. The scope of this position entails significant contact with senior leadership and limited-to-no contact with guests. Organizational Structure The Lead Trainer of Learning & Quality will report directly to the Director of Learning & Quality and work in the executive offices. Desirable Educational/Training experience Operational hotel experience, especially in guest contact area Able to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish Potential Duties and Supporting Responsibilities Ensure security and confidentiality of all information throughout the hotel Maintain and update attendance records, progress reports, and other documentation related to the Learning & Quality efforts. Well-versed in all proprietary service standards as well as all outside rating companies, including: Leading Quality Assurance, Forbes, AAA, TripAdvisor, and Michelin Assist with management and data collection of all feedback Facilitate adherence of all colleagues to established Nobu Hospitality and Eden Roc Management standards Assist with developing the annual learning & development plan and calendar Conduct needs analysis with department managers to assess specific learning needs. Conduct structured observations of colleagues in order to assess training needs Assist Director of Learning & Quality in providing a creative, fun and exciting environment in the delivery learning and development training programs Assist department managers in developing, implementing and assessing personal training plans for line colleagues, including personal accomplishments and progress Liaise with department heads regarding colleague recognition and incentives that support quality efforts Collaborate with department managers to create a monthly departmental learning and development action plan and calendar Assist with implementing the service-aspect of departmental action plans specifically, SOP-related trainings, primarily on a one-to-one basis but also in group setting Maintain and update training reference materials to ensure current protocols and procedures are accurate and communicated to all relevant colleagues Communicate regularly with colleagues to ensure good two-way communication concerning Learning & Quality initiatives Assist in the maintenance and acquisition of the Learning & Quality equipment and materials Create training templates, spreadsheets, PowerPoints, flyers, and graphs from data Embody the philosophies and lead by example with regard to our culture Support all efforts to enliven our companys mission, values and service standards, serving as a role model.
