Our customers are leading Original Equipment Manufacturers who require exacting precision mechanical production capabilities. Our product lines include the, Aerospace, Healthcare Scientific Instrumentation, and complex electro-mechanical equipment. Our Capabilities Include: * Precision CNC 5-Axis Milling and Turning * Precision 5-Axis Grinding of Aerospace Turbine Engine Nozzles and Blades * Close Tolerance (Micron level) Instrumentation Grinding * Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) NADCAP approved * Complex Electro-Mechanical assembly and test (Class 1K & 10K clean room) * Functional testing * Medium to Large Coordinate Measuring Capabilities Precision Technologies, the MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded SIX-SIGMA CHAMPION / CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT LEADER for our Tempe, Arizona location. You ll provide analysis, training and guidance on specific Lean tools. You ll create manufacturing and business processes that can be measured, analyzed, controlled and improved upon by developing relationships with customers, team members and company management. You ll analyze data to investigate and verify cause-and-effect relationships and communicate them to a diverse group of leaders. As an instrumental leader in the development and rollout of Kaizen events, you ll foster involvement from everyone from the GM to the assembly line workers. Above all, you ll find creative ways to continually improve processes and systems and seamlessly integrate them into existing production methods. This position could also be located in the Bay area of CA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES
* Demonstrates effective communication and presentation skills * Demonstrates strong analytical skills and ability to interpret/understand/learn statistical tools * Demonstrates confidentiality * Demonstrates the ability to multi-task, take on additional responsibilities and be able to work with limited supervision * Demonstrates the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment * Demonstrates an understanding of green belt or black belt methodology and be able to attend courses on them as needed. * Demonstrates strong organizational skills * Demonstrates leadership and people management skills. * Demonstrates teamwork and the ability to operate on diverse project teams with minimal direction. * Solid financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship-building, and project management. * Leads or at least participates in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format. * Available for travel up to 25% to 40% as required.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
* 5 or more years experience in Electromechanical Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering * 3 or more years experience in a Lean Leadership role * Six Sigma Green Belt * Previous Lean Training/Kaizen Leadership experience * Quality Management Systems expertise * Previous experience in Audit and Process Capability * Ability to work with little supervision
5+ years electronics manufacturing, quality or engineering experience; contract manufacturing and Green Belt certification. Previous experience in a machine shop. 3+ years in a leadership role.
4-year college degree preferred
