Summary: Designs and develops instructional materials for courses that support the organization's educational and training needs.



Designs and develops instructional materials for courses that support the organization's educational and training needs. Applies appropriate instructional design methodologies to conduct needs assessments, manage training projects, design, develop, and conduct formative and summative evaluations. Designs and develops courses for NMDP staff and external network partners. Utilizes authoring software to create learning materials and acts as a liaison between the Strategic Learning Partner and the Learning Delivery Specialist.



Minimum Education:



Bachelor's degree in related field (education, instructional design, instructional technology) or related subject.



Minimum Experience:



Two years experience as an instructional designer with consulting or project based work experience or on evaluation three years experience in another relevant NMDP position. Experience working in a regulated or manufacturing environment a plus.



Proven experience with incorporating multiple media elements into learning programs including audio, video, animation, simulation.



Key Knowledge:



Intermediate to advanced knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.



Key Skills:



Competency in use of authoring software (Articulate, Storyline, LMS, etc.) and MS Office. Project management skills and ability to work with Subject Matter Experts to design and develop learning solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and able to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Key Accountabilities:



Applies instructional design principles (i.e. ADDIE) to assess learning needs.



Applies adult learning principles, participant centered learning and other learning theories.



Produces learning solutions via various learning software and tools. Creates engaging e-Learning modules when it is the best teaching methodology.



Creates project plans and executes accordingly.



Critically evaluates learning effectiveness and adjusts accordingly



Adheres to FDA regulatory and continuing education credentialing body requirements related to the design, delivery and documentation of training.



Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts. Uses learning metrics and analytics to measure the impact of learning solutions.



Directs, assigns, or manages the work of others on project teams (SMEs, etc.).



Other Requirements:



Position requires some flexibility in work hours; some travel.
