DESCRIPTION

The Department of the History of Art and Architecture at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for temporary, part-time lecturer positions for the 2016-17 academic year. Courses needed may include:

* Introduction to Architecture and the Environment
* African American Art and the African Legacy
* The Arts of Spain and New Spain
* The Arts of Pre-Columbian America
* Pre-Columbian Art of the Maya
* American Art From Revolution to Civil War: 1700-1860
* Reconstruction, Renaissance, and Realism in American Art: 1860 1900
* Twentieth Century Modern/Contemporary

Basic qualifications: An MA in The History of Art/Architecture or a related field, and more than one year of teaching experience.
Preferred qualifications: A PhD in The History of Art and Architecture or a related field is desirable.

The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching and service.
