JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARYThe Department of Finance and Quantitative Methods at the University of Kentucky seeks to hire a full-time lecturer or senior lecturer (non-tenure track). The successful candidate would have prior teaching experience. Wall Street (or similar) experience is desirable but not required. Ph.D. degree in finance is desirable but not required. The primary job responsibility will be teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in finance. We will interview at the Financial Management Association meetings in Las Vegas in October 2016. Other arrangements for interviews may be possible. The projected start date is August of 2017, and the position will be open until filled.
Department
UK faculty have published extensively in top finance journals. Awards for recent publications include the Blackrock/Brennan Prize at RFS and the Fama/DFA and Jensen Prizes at JFE. The finance area at UK has a highly productive core of research-oriented faculty, a vibrant PhD program, and excellent support for junior faculty. Salary and teaching load are competitive with leading public universities.

UK is located in Lexington, which is in the heart of the beautiful Bluegrass Region. Lexington frequently ranks near the top of many Best Cities lists, including Forbes, Kiplinger, and The Atlantic.
