JOB DESCRIPTION*Working with the Senior Legal Assistants in the Firm supporting our 13 Attorneys, six of which are Partners.
*The Firm's primary practice area is Commercial Real Estate, including land use, zoning, municipal and environmental matters, as well as related litigation and transactional practices.
*Would be responsible for editing various legal documents (must be familiar with working on redlined documents, as there are sometimes more than one person revising a document) as well as preparing and filing papers with local, state and federal courts.
*Responsible for copying and production of pleadings, affidavits, exhibits, etc. Submitting and picking up records to/from various municipal offices will also be required, therefore a car is necessary (we do reimburse for mileage).
*Employee will also be trained on our "Timeslips" database for client time/expense entry.
*Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Power Point and Outlook Essential
*The ideal candidate must be organized, able to multi task, and be a quick learner.
*Must be a Team Player, willing to pitch in and do whatever is necessary to get the job done.
*At times, when the Attorneys are working on papers, those documents might be provided to the Administrative Staff late in the day requiring Overtime.
*This is not a constant, but the employee must be able to accommodate those occurrences.
