JOB DESCRIPTIONKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: HS/GED required, college degree preferred. Advanced proficiency in computer software programs such as MS Office, Excel, and Outlook is required. Must be able to accurately type a minimum of 50 wpm. Attention to detail and accuracy is a paramount in processing legal advertisements. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Newspaper experience a plus. Must be able to work both within a team and independently. Excellent organizational and time management skills required. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to effectively process sensitive information. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be highly mobile with the ability to frequently navigate between the departments of The St. Augustine Record/St. Augustine Media. Long periods of sitting, typing and viewing a computer screen are necessary.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Drug-free and smoke-free environment.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESOURCES: Generate and submit required reports in a timely manner. Manage calendar, pay invoices, handle contributions and order office supplies as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
I. Processes legal advertisements received from government entities in DTI system. This includes inputting ad copy, checking credit, getting payment information, and maintaining all files and records needed under current Florida Statutes. 80%
II. Provide administrative support functions to the publisher/CEO. This includes answering telephones, assisting customers with questions or directing them to the person that can help, opening mail, paying invoices, processing expense reports, purchasing office/kitchen supplies and assisting the publisher with luncheons and events (food & setup). 10%
III. Oversee administration of the Empty Stocking Fund every holiday season. Other duties as assigned. 10%
